Ah! Snakes n Adders. DON'T go if you're claustrophobic as it gets a tad crowded at times. DO go if you care about your animals and appreciate a friendly and professional service. Chaz knows his stuff and customer care is second to none (even when battling a hangover!). He won't sell you livestock if you're shopping on a whim but cannot do enough to help whatever your level experience. In the space of half an hour I've witnessed him politely turning a customer away until they had researched the needs of their potential new pet more thoroughly and then spend time assessing the condition of one very worried owner's poorly beardie - giving reassurance and appropriate advice even though they weren't buying anything. We've bought 5 beautiful healthy snakes from Chaz and regularly undertake a 160 mile round trip to shop with someone we trust.

snakes n adders is great but very hectic, staff are friendly but they need to keep an eye on all snakes. shop well set out n very busy.

i went to snakes n adders today and it was very busy it was nice to think that a shop like that is well known and used. it's a well set out shop with a huge variety of reptiles, chaz knows what he is talking about and he spends the amount of time needed with every customer that has a querie cheers chaz xxxx

I would like to let it be know that I bought 2 bearded dragons from another supposedly specialist reptile shop (big mistake).
If only I had gone to SNAKES’N’ADDERS first, I would not have wasted money on the wrong type of set up for these reptiles, that nearly ended up in one of them dying. Things are good now & I do not think that I could ever thank Chaz & Matt enough; they go beyond the call of duty with their help, advice & the vast knowledge that Chaz & Matt store upon there heads. well we visited the shop today to have a look at the albino royal and was worth the drive , got to hold it as well as 1 of the most beautiful snakes i have ever seen the lavander retic is stunning, looks like iam gonna have to sell everything i can to try and get the albino royal, we will be visiting the shop again, just wish we lived closer:( but fantastic shop guys well done

Me and my girlfriend visited snake n adders today to see if it was possible to have my 2 corn snakes sexed, which chaz was only too happy to do and which we were very gratefull for. It was also great to see his collection of snakes and various other reptiles, but the highlight for me was seeing the full grown rhino iguana!! I will be visiting again soon and would highly reccomend snakes n adders to anyone. All of the reptiles were well cared for by the great staff who are only to happy to help and answer any question you may have.

We have been customers at Snakes N Adders for 2 years and have bought over a dozen snakes from them in that time. We have always found Chaz and Matt very helpful. They are always willing to offer free advice and they make you feel welcome. The shop is always full of a large variety of reptiles, some of which are really unusual. Nothing is too much trouble for Chaz or Matt and we would recommend a visit to the shop to anyone.

Just want to say a very big thank you for the expert advice from snakes and adders after my bearded dragons and my boa constrictor fell poorly without the help of chaz and mathew i would have lost them and can i say a big thank you to johanna storm at shearbridge vet centre in bradford for the expert treatment to my pets thanks again chaz and mathew i dont know what i would have done without you both thanks again linda

We found snakes and adders through the internet and went down to have a look. We entered the shop and straight away we was asked if we needed help. I was talking to Chaz about my plans for future vivs he was really helpful and Matt was also very helpful. Ive been keeping reptiles for 10 years now and started to breed corn snakes, after they hatched there was some complications which Chaz and Matt explained how to prevent this from happening in the future. Ive been to many reptile shops within the UK but snakes and adders has to be by far the best. I go in there every week end and still he has new reptiles in to show me and more information to give me. Snakes and adders is a warm and friendly shop and welcomes everybody with open arms (its like a little family). There shop is not the biggest of shops but certainly has the most stock, all the different pet shops i have been to havn't got half the stock that Chaz has.Chaz and Matt are there to help beginners to experts. Ive been with Lizzi three years, she didn't know anything about reptiles between me Chaz and Matt, she now knows all basic care for reptiles and also now has her own, this is due to the help and advise from chaz and matt to help her overcome the fear of them. I'd never go anywhere else than snakes and adders 100% experts.

after finding our 1st snake we headed off to snakes n adders for some advice,now a few years later,and countless hours of asking chaz & matt questions,which they are always more than happy to answer,we have gone from 1 corn snake to 17 corns,2 jungle pythons,1 blood python,3 amazon tree boas,2 vietnamese blue beauty snakes,1 ridleys cave dwelling rat snake,2 western hognoses,1 brazilian rainbow boa,1 goins king snake,2 royal pythons all of which we have purchased from chaz & matt which proves what a great selection they always have,& they always know what they are talking about,be it lizards,snakes etc & are always willing to help us with advice on breeding and just about any thing else we throw at em including boring genetics lol...
we have visited just about every pet/reptile shop in west yorkshire & can say with out a doubt that chaz & matt are by far the nicest,friendliest,most knowledgable people we have met( still waiting for our cup of coffee though matt lol )
would recomend any one to at least visit this shop before considering going any where else.

As a 4yr old Mum is typing this for me.
I often have lots and lots of questions for Matt and Chaz when we go to buy feeds for my red tail boa, she was bought from their shop. I like to look out for new reptiles I don't recognise so that I can ask lots of quetions.
When I can reach the top viv I would like to work in their shop and help look after the reptiles, it dosen't smell of poo like other snake shops.
Matt & Chaz don't mind me asking about how big something is or how chameleons change colour or why that turtle looks like a rock with a leaf for its head!!
Big Thank You and go see them if you have any questions because they will know the answer.

We had 2 royals when we first came across snake & adders.All the other 'shops' we have visited, prior to this one, have always left us disappointed and depressed at the lack of knowledge poor quality of animals and even worse housing.But NOT snakes & adders, all animals are healthy clean and well fed. Time has been spent on these reptiles not just for financial gain or as a marketing ploy, these Guys really do care.
Nothing is too much trouble and they are always prepared to spend the time with you. Last Oct we bought a red tail boa the sale wasn't pushed and we left the shop and returned a few hours later and asked even more questions before we finally bought her. We weren't made to feel like time wasters and we were asked exactly which snake we wanted. Spent in excess of £200 that day and it was deffinately money well spent for all the advice that was given. Aftersales service is unusual and rare.
Our royals,now 5 & 6 yrs, boy and girl respectively we were preparing to breed them. Chaz explained everything in great detail, temps the whole lot and offered to check them for us.
Thanks Chaz for announsing that our pair are at a great weight and condition for 2 FEMALES ready for breeding!!!

Chaz, dude, you are the man! I have visited far too many shops that don't care for their animals and are a disgrace to the herp community - Snakes N Adders is the cream of the crop, way above the rest, and it's always a pleasure to go there. The animals are clean, healthy and Chaz and Matt actually know their stuff - which seems to be another rarity in the reptile shop owning business!! Lots of respect.. only one thing could make Snakes N Adders better than it already is - if you hired me Chaz! :-)

We have been customers of snakes n adders for 2 years, and although we are owners of only bearded dragons, we have asked both Matt and Chaz about nearly every other reptile that catches our eye, the knowledge that they have is unbelieveable from feeding to mating to housing and this is for every reptile they have in the shop. We will always recommend snakes n adders for their friendly service and for both the quantity and quality of their stock. Thanks both of you for all your help and advice!!

great shop to visit nice blokes and all animals kept well very helpfull (sexing my snakes for me keeps them busy)always something new i always spend far to much when i visit. p.s if you read this chaz in return for a substantial discount i might say your wonderfull next time.

Now here is a shop I can recommend with pleasure, Snakes'N'Adders is a 5 hour drive from me but the journey is always worth the effort, Charles and team run an excellent shop, are very knowledgable and approachable.

I have several in my collection from this particular shop and all are absolutely superb examples of their species. Apart from the quality of stock one good reason for us making the journey is that the animals are always reasonably priced.

This shop is kept beautifully, has excellent stock, and knowledgable staff.. I rate is as one of the best in the country.

we have been going to snakes and adders for about 2ys now and in that time we have bought from chaz and mat 4 snakes 4 dragons and 2 turtels and every time we buy a new pet they go in to deatail with feading habits wat we need to do and use for the houseing and always lets us of an hold and look at new things in the store they are both always there with a hello and ready to help with any questions you have and the tanks and animals are al looked after very well . we will always buy from snakes and adders we even got a family member and friend to shop there so guys snakes and adders is the place to go

After buying our three snakes from a shop that will remain nameless.We were thrilled with our three boys. Z the cornsnake,BO the boa constrictor & JET a mexican black kingsnake.All three boys were doing well & eating their pinkies,adult mice & weener rats at great speed.Then Z went of his food & after three weeks , we took him to the vets, who told us that he was very overweight.We were advised by the vet to speak to CHAS at SNAKESNADDERS They are on Kirkstall Road ,Leeds.What a blessing in disguise Z not eating turned out to be.Z wasnt just overweight but maybe suffering a phantom pregnancy?Oh yeah,Z turns out to be a girl.So we picked CHAS'S brain for well over an hour & never once felt like idiots for not knowing what we should be doing to look after our snakes in the proper manner.So the next day off we went again with BO & JET.We had been told that BO was definalately a boy but no, both our remaining boysboys were now our girls.We spent another hour or so picking CHAS'S brains and also met Matt, who also couldnt of been more friendlier & helpful.Came away with all sorts of literature to make sure we now know whats best for our girls & we would urge anybody who has doubts or concerns about not just their pet snakes but lizards & other reptiles to talk to the guys at SNAKESNADDERS.As the vet told us they really know their shit & have not only their own reptiles but their clients pets best interest at heart.

excellent stock range. Charles is ever so helpful. Carry far more stock than any other shop around here. Stock is always kept in a good manner. keep up the good work
